The consistent extension of LASERQUIPMENT’s Application Center is aiming at enabling customers to make use of the economical and technical advantages provided by laserwelding of thermoplasts. Dr. Thomas Fröhlich has been assigned to manage the Application Center. Services include customer-specific process development as well as job shopping of small- and middle batch production. The job shop enables companies to realize a highquality laser welded joint in their products in a very economical way. Several weldingmachines are available in three shifts, seven days a week, supplemented by a wellequipped metalworking shop for a fast construction of clamping devices.
 
Additionally, LASERQUIPMENT’s Application Center is capable of examining the possibilities of laser-welding at existing products and offers support concerning the choice of material and product design. Making use of these services enables LASERQUIPMENT’s customers to get to know the advantages of laser-welding at their own products, while welding functional prototypes quickly.

The Application Center’s services are adressed to different industries, e.g. automotive-, consumer electronics-, telecommunications-, household goods and food industry.
