LPKF AG’s Plastics Welding Division presents at this year’s K fair (24 to 31 October) in Düsseldorf, the world premiere of the first fully hybrid welded tail light. The method combines laser light with infrared radiation, and is primarily designed for the economical welding of large plastic components.

Erlangen, August, 10th 2007 – The number of orders being placed with the Plastics Welding Division of LPKF Laser & Electronics AG continues to grow. The team has been strengthened again, with additional areas rented for expansion. The company is responding to the enormous growth in demand for its laser plastics welding equipment.

Erlangen, Germany, July, 27th 2007 – The automotive supplier SL Corporation from South Korea is welding automotive taillights with laser welding systems from LPKF Laser & Electronics AG for the first time. This project uses hybrid laser from LPKF for plastics welding. The technology combines laser light with infrared radiation and is very effective and economic for welding of large plastic parts.

Erlangen, Germany, March, 13th 2007 – The Plastic Welding Division of LPKF Laser & Electronics AG has established an Applications Center for laser welding tests with plastic parts in the United States.
