Simultaneous welding
During simultaneous welding the seam is heated simultaneously by one or more lasers. There is no practical limit to the seam length during this process. The weld seam must not necessarily extend in one plane, as long as an evenly distributed clamping pressure can be applied to the weld seam.
Simultaneous welding is perfect for linear weld seams, whereas radial weld seams require additional beam shaping elements. When properly arranged and controlled, the individual laser elements produce an evenly distributed power profile throughout the entire weld seam.
Simultaneous welding is recommended for high manufacturing volumes or to achieve shorter cycle times.
