Clearweld process

The welding additional material known as "Clearweld^®" enables complete independence of the colour design from the requirements coming along with the conventional laser welding process. The liquid material is applied in the welding plane prior to assembling the joining partners. Clearweld^® absorbs the incident laser radiation, thus providing the desired cohesive junction. Unlike other IR-absorbing materials, Clearweld^® becomes completely clear after being exposed to radiation, providing the possibility of colour-independent design in the joining zone.

In addition to this new benefit, the Clearweld^®-system offers interesting new possibilities for the geometrical design of the joining partners. Creating multi-layer joints becomes possible in one single process while maintaining a high processing speed.
